Sydney Harbour Bridge...

... and harnessed tourists walking over the top of it.

And you think that putting a picture of Sydney Harbour Bridge on your blog is going to convince people that you are really in Sidney, and not still panting your way around the second lap of the Bristol Half-Marathon course ("one of the most gruelling in the business" - A. Fatbloke)?

More importantly, I have noticed (my life at present being sufficiently leisured that I have time to this kind of dirty work for you) that your penchant for Coming Up For Air is shared and declared by 40 other members of the "Blogger Community" - of whom no fewer than two (2) come from New Zealand, and an an even more enormously disproportionate number hail not only from the same American state (Connecticut), but from the same town (New Haven).

What this tells us, I am perhaps not the best person to ask. I read CUFA a very long time ago, and all I remember about it was that it was about a rather melancholic fellow who worked in a second-hand book shop, which he liked or disliked, I forget which, for its musty smell. (Or was that Keep the Aspidistra Flying?) Did he not also write poetry in order to collect publishers' rejection slips?

I have never been to New Zealand (though my grandfather had a NZ passport);I used to live not far from New Haven, CT, but I don't remember whether it had any second hand bookshops. No, hang on, if I'm not mistaken Yale University is in New Haven, isn't it? Must be hundreds of second hand bookshops there.
